ABOUT

Lise Cormier is a Toronto-based bilingual actor, voice actor, singer, dancer, and creator who hails from Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Lise began to pursue a career in the arts when she was five years old, performing on stage and in the recording studio for RAZZMATAZZ FOR KIDS.   She continued working throughout her childhood, and her teen credits include being a cast member at the renowned Neptune Theatre, and multiple movies of the week.  After a career as a child actor, Lise continued her studies and graduated with honours from Sheridan College’s Music Theatre Performance Program.

She is a two time Dora Award nominee for her performances as Lise in
TALE OF A T-SHIRT with Fixt Point, as well as Diablanc in ZINSPIRÉS 3D with Théâtre français de Toronto.  She also played Sancho in the Dora-nominated production of THE BARBER OF SEVILLE at Soulpepper.

Lise was selected as an actor for the Women in the Director’s Chair program at the Banff Centre for the Arts.  She has sung at various events for peace.  For the official citizenship ceremony for new Canadian citizens, she performed the national anthem, as well as the Acadian national anthem, honouring Lise's Acadian roots.
Lise is currently reconnecting with her Jewish roots in the vibrant Toronto Jewish community.

Lise wrote, directed and starred in the short film entitled SEXIST MICROAGGRESSIONS.

Lise acts and sings as Madame Bellview in Netflix’s THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY.  Lise appears in several MOWs on the Lifetime Network.

Lise performed in an English translation of Molière's THE MISER in Ottawa during summer 2023 with Odyssey Theatre in Strathcona Park.

She played Misty Simmons in the award-winning CBC radio drama BACKBENCHER.  You can hear Lise Cormier's voice on the latest season of BAKUGAN on Netflix, which was released September 2023.  On episodes 3, 4, 9 and 11, Lise plays "Tilde", as well as her Bakugan "Ghost", along with several other characters.

Lise Cormier and her husband Kenton Blythe appeared in Season 2 of Canada's Got Talent, as KENTON AND LISE, performing original music/choreography.   They received a lot of positive feedback, which inspired CURIOUS K EXPLORES THE PALEOZOIC, a musical that won Patron's Pick at Toronto Fringe 2023, as well a broadwayworld.com Award.  You can now book KENTON & LISE EXPLORE THE PALEOZOIC for your event, which was made possible by the Ontario Arts Council.
